Dwayne Johnson Slams Donald Trump Amid Racial Injustice Protests: 'Where Is Our Leader?'

Dwayne Johnson is showing his support for the Black Lives Matter and calling out President Trump for his actions during the nationwide protest.

The 48-year-old actor took to Twitter to share a passionate video to say that the country needs better leadership during this time of civil unrest.

“Where are you? Where is our leader?” Dwayne asks. “Where is our leader at this time when our country is down on its knees, begging, pleading, hurt, angry, frustrated, in pain with its arms out, just wanting to be heard?”

Though he never specifically called Trump by name, it was clear Dwayne was speaking about the president.

“Where is our compassionate leader who’s going to step up to our country who’s down on its knees, and extend a hand and say, ‘You stand up, stand up with me because I got you,” Dwayne continued. “I hear you, I’m listening to you. And you have my word that I’m going to do everything in my power, until my dying day, my last breath, to do everything I can to create the change that is needed, to normalize equality because Black lives matter.’ Where are you?”

“We must become the leaders we are looking for. I’ll ask it one more time: Where are you? Where is that compassionate leader who steps up and takes accountability for his country and all the people in our country?” Dwayne shared. “Where are you? I’ll tell you what, we’re here. We’re all here. The process to change has already begun. You can feel it across our country. Change is happening. It’s going to take time. We’re going to get beat up. We’re going to take our lumps. There’s going to be blood, but the process of change has already begun.”

If you missed it, Trump was recently slammed by the Episcopal bishop of Washington for this reason.

Lady Gaga Applauds 'Brave Citizens' Who Are Speaking Up About Racial Injustice

Lady Gaga is giving credit to those speaking up and making their voices heard during the trying times, following the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and countless other Black individuals.

The 34-year-old singer took to her Instagram, sharing two advocacy organizations she has made donations to.

“…I hope that all cops who have engaged in or are engaging in any racist activity are met with the highest form of law & order, although we know the law & order in this country is predicated upon racism and is itself corrupt,” she wrote. “We are once again witnessing the devastating and overwhelming evidence of police brutality and prejudicial responses from prosecutors and local officials. I also hope for the families of all Black lives who have been taken from us to see justice and healing though I believe many of us know we sadly cannot promise that.”

Gaga continued, “I applaud the brave citizens of this nation that are speaking up, and I support the unsupported voices of the Black community. I wish for their voices to be heard loudly and clearly, and that they feel loved and amplified by allies. I know you know how much I believe in kindness.”

“The spirit of this movement is intrinsically rooted in a universal dream of kindness and it’s precisely that same kindness that I am wishing for those that are suffering tonight. I have endless compassion in my heart as we struggle as one nation to find bold and effective solutions to an insidious and systemic problem that’s plagued our country since its birth.”

She urged fans, “I encourage you to learn about the important work they do and how you can get involved. Black Lives Matter.”

Over the weekend, Gaga slammed Donald Trump for his lack of action, and labeled him as racist.

Tavi Gevinson Calls Out Karlie Kloss For Not Being 'More Embarrassed' by Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner: 'Give It a Rest'

Tavi Gevinson Calls Out Karlie Kloss For Not Being 'More Embarrassed' by Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner: 'Give It a Rest'

Tavi Gevinson has some harsh words for Karlie Kloss.

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old model/businesswoman shared a quote from activist Cleo Wade, and the 24-year-old writer/actress didn’t take kindly to it.

“Thank you @cleowade for the reminder to live by these principles, we needed this today ❤️,” Karlie captioned along with her post.

Tavi then took to the comments to call out Karlie and to slam her for taking a harder stance against her in-laws Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. Karlie is married to Jared‘s brother Joshua Kushner.

“Karlie, give it a rest. You have a lot of nerve to make a show of championing girls’ coding and your family in public (lame @ you ignoring ivanka on social media; she still went to your wedding),” Tavi wrote. “I can’t believe you’re not more embarrassed not just by them but YOUR decision to only publicly disown their politics in polite ways so you can have it both ways. I don’t know what kind of conversations you have behind the scenes (besides when Jared asked your dad to solicit solutions to a global pandemic in a Facebook group back in March) but like…….what am I looking at. This is a f–king joke.”

This isn’t the first time Karlie has been called out for being affiliated with Ivanka and Jared. Find out what a Project Runway contestant also said to her.

If you missed it, earlier this year, Karlie opened up about her political views, revealing that she will not vote for Trump.

“As my teenage daughter said today, ‘How many more people have to die for us to realize that the people who are supposed to ‘protect’ us put our lives in more danger. How many more mothers or fathers, sons or daughters, brothers or sisters, have to die for us to notice that nobody is safe. Nobody is protecting us. We see others get targeted with our own two eyes each and every day. But it doesn’t stop. It never stops,’” she captioned her post.

It was the first time Amber and Lea talked in over two years.
